Q: What level of German do I need?

It depends on the programme, and there are two different levels involved. For admission: English-taught programmes generally require an English test rather than German, while German-taught programmes require a recognised certificate at the level that programme sets. For living: a working level of German makes the city office, the doctor and the landlord considerably easier regardless of your course language. The final requirement is always on the programme's own page.

Some questions need one focused conversation. Some need a profile evaluation before anything bigger is discussed. Some need ongoing support. This page separates those paths clearly.

We are not an immigration adviser or a law firm, and we give no legal or immigration advice. We take no commission from any university. We do not apply on your behalf under your login or sign anything in your name, and we do not write your statement of purpose for you — you write it, we make it better.

The third column is the important one. These are the steps only you can take — and not one of them is a step you take alone. Beside each is what we are doing with you.

A university shortlist built for your profile, with the reasoning for each choice written down so you can disagree with it.
Working through the APS route that applies to you, and whether each shortlisted university needs uni-assist or a VPD.

A deadline map worked backwards from the earliest binding date, and reminders as each approaches.

Any guarantee of admission, a visa, a scholarship, a job or a particular income.

Attending your APS interview and your visa appointment. We prepare you for both beforehand — what gets asked, what to carry — and go through it with you first.
Gathering transcripts, certificates and documents from your university and school. We give you the exact list each university expects, in the order you will need it, and check what you collect against it.
Replying within a few days when a deadline is moving. This is the one that decides outcomes, so we keep the deadline map in front of you and remind you before each date rather than after it.
Verifying, on each university's own page, the requirements for your programme. We read them with you and show you where to look — the final check stays yours because the university's own page is the only version that counts.
Making the decisions. We bring you the shortlist, the reasoning and our honest opinion, and we will talk it through as many times as you need. The choice stays yours.

Fees you pay directly to other bodies

Separate from anything you pay us: APS India (verification), g.a.s.t. (the dMAT, if it applies to you), uni-assist (VPD and application handling), your language exam provider, the blocked-account provider, and the visa fee. Amounts change — check each body's current figure rather than a number on any consultancy site, including this one.

Fit and goals — a short set of questions

Anushka replies with a handful of questions about your academic background, target intake, budget and timeline. This is not a sales step: it is how we find out whether there is anything useful to talk about. Some enquiries end here, with a pointer to the free guide that answers the question.

If a direct personal conversation is the right next step, you can request 1:1 with Anushka. Fit and availability are checked first, payment comes after that, and you will be told plainly if you do not need paid help.

Scope confirmed in writing — before any payment

If you want to go further, what is included, how many universities, over what period, and the price are all agreed in writing first. This is the decision point. Read the scope table above before you reach it, not after.

FAQ

The questions people actually ask before paying

Do you guarantee admission?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Admission is decided by the university, on criteria they publish and apply themselves. What we affect is the quality and timing of what you submit, and whether you applied to a sensible set of programmes in the first place.

Do you receive commissions from universities?

No. We take no money from any university, agent or partner — the only money involved is what a student pays us. This is why we can hand you a shortlist and explain the reasoning behind every entry, and why you can push back on any of it.

Do you write SOPs for students?

No. Your statement of purpose is written by you, from your own material. What we do is interrogate it — ask why you chose this field until the answer is specific, point out the paragraph that could belong to anybody, and check that what you claim matches your transcript. Several drafts, real editing, your words. A document written by someone else reads like one, and admissions readers see hundreds a season.

Is visa support included?

Document preparation and process guidance are included: what the appointment expects, which papers must be in order, and how the sequence fits your deadlines. Legal or immigration advice is not — that requires a qualified adviser, which we are not. The decision itself belongs entirely to the visa authority.

Can parents join discussions?

Yes, on any call, and it is encouraged. Financial and safety questions get answered directly to the person asking them, rather than relayed through the student afterwards.

Do you help only with Germany?

Germany is the focus, and it is where the written guides on this site are deepest. Other European options come up in conversation when they genuinely fit your academics, budget and career goal — but we will not pretend to expertise in a system we have not worked through.

What happens if I am not a good fit?

You will be told, early, and pointed somewhere more useful. Sometimes that is a different country, sometimes a different intake, sometimes the free guides on this site because paid help would not add much in your case. Taking money for work that cannot succeed is worse for us than declining it.

What is your success rate?

There is no honest number to give you yet. The Leap Europe is building its first cohort, so any percentage published here would be invented. What is verifiable instead: Anushka's own route from Delhi to Paris to Germany, her professional record, and the free guides on this site, which you can judge on their merits before paying for anything. When there are real outcomes, they will be published as outcomes rather than as a marketing statistic.

Is studying at a German public university tuition-free?

Many public universities charge low or no general tuition, including for international students — but exceptions exist by state, university, programme and student status, and semester contributions are charged regardless. Living costs, insurance, visa requirements and travel are all separate. Check the fee page of each programme on your shortlist; our cost breakdown explains what each line is.

What is the blocked account and do I get it back?

It is one accepted way to prove you can fund your living costs. You deposit your own money before the visa, and it is released back to you in monthly instalments once you are in Germany. It is not a fee, it is not paid to a university, and it is not money you earn there. The required amount changes yearly, so use the official figure for your application year — see the German Missions in India.

When do you launch, and does the waitlist reserve a place?

The first step is now a profile evaluation request. It is free, it does not reserve a place, and it does not mean your profile has already been reviewed. We contact you within 48 hours, collect the detail we need directly, and then guide you on what is realistic. How profile evaluations work explains the rest.
