Practical sessions for the parts of Germany nobody explains properly.

Sessions are scheduled around the people who actually want them, rather than announced first and filled afterwards. That means a Lab moves through stages, and what registering does depends on which stage it is in. The listings above are grouped by stage, so you always know what you are signing up for.

Gathering interest. The topic exists, the date does not. Registering adds you to the interest list and nothing else — no payment, no commitment. When enough people have joined, you get proposed times by email.

Picking a time. Enough interest has gathered, so the session is being scheduled. Registering here means choosing which of the proposed times works for you. The final time is confirmed by email once the votes are in.

Confirmed. Date and time are fixed. Registering reserves your seat, and where a Lab has a seat limit the card shows how many remain. You get the joining link closer to the day.

Full. If a confirmed Lab reaches its seat limit, registration moves to a waitlist. You are contacted if a place opens, or when the session runs again.

Completed Labs. Past Labs stay listed rather than disappearing. Open the detail page if you want one run again — that is where rerun interest is recorded and where any planned rerun is linked.

Yes — every Lab is free, and there is no plan to change that. These sessions exist to build something with the people who turn up: you get a rewritten CV or a working budget, and I find out what people are actually stuck on, which is what decides the next Lab. That trade is worth more to me than a registration fee. You will never be asked for money on this page, and each event card states the cost anyway so you never have to take it on faith.

Anyone preparing to study, work or settle in Germany, at any stage — from just exploring to already living there. Some Labs suggest a level, such as around A2 for the German mock test. That is guidance, not a gate.

I cannot promise a recording. Some Labs involve people sharing their own CV or their family budget, and recording that would change what people are willing to say. Where a recording is available, it will be stated on the event card.

No. The A2 Mock Exam Room is practice in exam-style conditions. It is not a Goethe, telc or ÖSD examination, it is not recognised by any university or authority, and it does not produce a certificate. It exists so you find out where you stand before you pay for the real thing.

You get an email from me. If the Lab has a date, that email confirms your seat and, closer to the time, carries the joining link. If the Lab has no date yet, I email you as soon as it is scheduled. Nothing is automated — the joining details come from me.

Yes, and for the money sessions I would rather they did. Where a Lab is built with parents in mind, the event card says so. Parents can register in their own name using the same form.

Your name, email address and WhatsApp number are stored so I can run your registration and contact you about that session, along with your answers to the session's own questions. Joining details still go out by email, but the number is part of the registration form for every Lab. Community updates about future Labs are a separate, optional checkbox that is never pre-ticked, and saying no to it does not affect your registration. Everything lives in a PostgreSQL database hosted in the European Union, nobody but me has access, and it is never shared with universities, agents or anyone else. No advertising or analytics tools run on this site. Ask for deletion at any time and it will be done. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

A Lab is a one-off group session, open to anyone, built around a single practical outcome. The mentorship is Anushka working on your application personally over months, for ten students at a time, and it is paid. They are separate on purpose: registering for a Lab does not request a profile evaluation, and requesting a profile evaluation does not register you for a Lab. If you want to see how she works before committing to anything, a Lab is the cheaper way to find out.

No. Nobody honest can guarantee an admission, a visa or a job. A Lab gives you a clearer CV, a realistic budget, a working timeline or an honest read on your German. Universities, employers and authorities make their own decisions.
